Android engineering company

Your Android product needs someone who owns the outcome.

Legacy, Play, OEM, hard integrations. We build and rescue native Android systems with written scope, milestones and quality criteria, and one senior engineer accountable for the result. Scope locked before we start.Legacy, Play, OEM, hard integrations. Scope locked before we start.

Credentials

The Android layer few engineers go deep on.

10 Google Android Enterprise credentials, Associate to Expert, since 2020. In practice: OEM behavior, background and battery, Play policy, purpose-built hardware and sensitive permission flows. Few teams reach this layer. That is where a stable product separates from a polished demo.

Services/ 01

Where senior Android execution changes the outcome.

Store policy, device behavior, security and architecture. Those are the points where mobile projects fail quietly, months before anyone notices. That is the work we take on.

S·01

Android native & architecture

Kotlin, Compose, app architecture, release hardening and technical direction for products that need more than screens. That includes items that rarely appear in estimates: Play policy and target API migrations, OEM battery and background behavior, and devices that ship without Google Play Services.

  • Kotlin · Compose · Coroutines
  • Play policy & target API migrations
  • AOSP, OEM behavior & GMS-less devices
S·02

Secure mobile integrations

Real-time experiences, WebRTC, sensors, vendor SDKs, permission models and secure data flows. These are the parts that tend to break only in the field, on a device outside the test plan.

  • WebRTC · low latency
  • Sensors, rugged and purpose-built hardware
  • Play Integrity, permissions and data policy
S·03

Modernization & technical leadership

Modernize a legacy Android codebase, clear a compliance backlog, or bring senior architecture into a team that's already moving. One technical standard for the whole engagement. AI accelerates the work; it never replaces senior review.

  • Legacy → modern stack
  • Architecture & code review
  • CI, testing and release checks

Process/ 02

How a project runs, from briefing to delivery.

The same four stages on every project, each one ending in something you can read, review or run. Scope changes are written down before the work starts, never after.

  1. Discovery

We map goals, constraints, risks and what has to be true in production. You get a written summary of what we found, including the problems you didn't ask about.

  2. Proposal & scope

A written proposal: architecture direction, milestones, acceptance criteria and quality criteria. What's out of scope is stated as clearly as what's in. You approve before anything starts.

  3. Delivery cycles

Short cycles with senior review on every change, CI running from the first week, and a build you can install at the end of each one. Progress you can run, not a percentage on a slide.

  4. Final delivery

We close with architecture documentation, recorded decisions and a walkthrough with your engineers. Everything organized so the team can take over product evolution.

Why Levandowski/ 03

For Android products that need senior judgment.

SPECIALIZATION

Android depth first

Every hour of experience compounds on one platform. That applies both when we rescue a system in production and when we set architecture for a product still taking shape. Device behavior, store policy, security and fragmentation are problems we have already solved, not topics to research on your budget.

FIT

When it's worth calling us

When the Android product carries real operational weight: revenue running through it, devices in the field, a store deadline, or a codebase the team avoids maintaining. Or a new product that needs architecture and technical direction from day one. For a simple app with no platform complexity, a generalist team will serve you well and cost less. We state that clearly.

What limits your risk when you hire a specialist shop.

CONTRACT

Nothing starts before it's in writing.

Scope, milestones and acceptance criteria agreed before the first line of code. Intellectual property in the deliverable stays with you under the contract. Third-party licenses listed explicitly. We invoice as a legal entity, ready for procurement and legal review in Brazil or abroad.

RISK

One milestone at a time. Acceptance before the next.

We split the project into milestones with criteria set up front. Each stage is reviewed and approved before the next starts. You decide whether to continue based on what was delivered.

EXIT

Handoff planned from day one.

We document the transfer while context is still fresh. Repository, CI and accounts stay in your environment whenever possible. When we finish, your team can operate and extend the system on its own.

FAQ/ 08

Practical questions before we start.

Company & positioning

Who we are and when to hire.

Is Levandowski an engineering company or a freelancer?
A registered company with a specialist scope. We contract, invoice and document like a company, and we go as deep on Android as a specialist has to. Clients bring us in when the mobile product is critical enough that a generalist supplier is a risk.
What do you build?
Android and mobile systems ready for production, secure integrations, modernization of legacy codebases and senior technical leadership. Especially where reliability, platform depth, security or time-to-market are on the line.
How are you different from a large digital consultancy?
Direct senior ownership. Fewer handoffs, faster decisions, and architecture from someone who has shipped Android at real device scale. The trade-off is clear: we do not take work outside mobile.

Capabilities

What we build and how far we go.

Is it only Android phone apps?
Android is the core: phones and deep platform work. We also work on wearables, POS and rugged Android terminals, and Kotlin Multiplatform when the product needs to share logic with iOS, desktop or other targets. Android stays the quality reference in all of them.
Do you build native Android in Kotlin?
Yes. Native Android with Kotlin, modern UI with Jetpack Compose where it fits, solid architecture, tests and release discipline. Plus the harder platform problems when the product needs them.
How deep does your Android Enterprise experience go?
Deep. Our technical leadership is a Google Android Enterprise Expert with engineering experience on platforms managing corporate devices at scale. That shows up as AOSP-level judgment, security decisions and architecture in every engagement, applied to native Android products, integrations and modernization.
Can you join an existing engineering team?
Yes, as a senior Android contributor, architect, reviewer or fractional technical lead, under a clear engagement model.
Where does AI fit in your delivery?
As an accelerator, never a substitute for senior review, security or architectural ownership. Every line ships reviewed by a human who is accountable for it. Product LLM features, when they make sense, follow the same production standard.

Engagement & process

How work starts, runs and stays owned.

How does an engagement start?
Discovery, then a written proposal with scope, milestones, acceptance criteria and quality criteria. Then delivery cycles, then handoff. Contracted and invoiced through the legal entity, with a named technical owner from the first day.
Who owns the technical decisions?
The named technical owner, led by Gustavo Levandowski as engineer, architect or lead. You talk to the person making the call, not to an account manager relaying it.
What happens if scope changes mid-project?
A written scope update: impact on timeline, milestones and investment, agreed before the extra work starts. No silent scope creep, in either direction.

Contract & trust

IP, confidentiality and how we work internationally.

Who owns the code and intellectual property?
You do. Deliverables and IP defined in the agreement belong to the client. Third-party licenses are listed explicitly. Nothing ambiguous is left in the contract.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, before any sensitive discovery. Code and business context are handled confidentially, with documentation suited to B2B work in Brazil and abroad.
Do you work with companies outside Brazil?
Yes. Remote-first and bilingual (English and Portuguese), with documentation in your language and working hours that overlap the US and most of Europe.
